Welcome!
Serving Northern New Jersey (Bergen County, Passaic County, Essex County, Hudson County,Sussex County, Morris County) and Central to Southern New Jersey. Also servicing Southern New York, NYC and Eastern Pennsylvania.
Your location is the place to begin training. No need to take your dog out to a training center. I will come to your home and neighborhood. Distractions and challenges will be introduced after your dog has a great foundation.
Your dog will only learn if there is eye contact and attention. Those skills must be taught for your dog to learn. It is important to teach the foundation exercises in a place where there are limited distractions.
Some dogs just cannot learn in a class environment. That is why more and more people hire a private professional trainer.
If you are having trouble teaching your dog to behave in your home or neighborhood please call for a complimentary consultation. I have in depth experience developing proper communication to teach your dog wanted behavior vs. unwanted behavior through formal obedience training.
A well trained dog is a well behaved dog. I teach without treats or clickers. I encourage you to call several trainers and then call me. Unlike other private trainers I know how to handle and teach all pure breeds and mix breed dogs.
I have special skills instructing my clients to properly teach their dog
immediate responses to commands or requests. I have experience working with the disabled. A man wheelchair bound asked me for help to train his boxer to be a companion and service dog. It was so rewarding to me seeing the progress the autistic child had with his black lab. Also humbling working with a married couple who were both deaf and mute, watching their smiles as we worked with their miniature poodle.
My background working with all temperaments and genetic make-ups, such as, unruly, overly friendly, apprehensive dog type behavior is evident.
I will teach the most difficult dogs to listen and behave. Most common behavior issues are and not limited to: jumping, chronic barking,
scratching, chewing, overly friendly, counter surfing, running around house, not listening, pulling and sniffing when walking, not staying, will not come when called, passive aggressive to dominant aggressive and all temperaments in between, etc.

Tom and his Newfoundland Dogs left to right: Harper, Hadley, Golden Doodle Faith, Sloan, German Shepard Rocco, Martha in back, Courtney and Bella.
